For Sale £675,000 - End of Terrace House
Two for one! A spacious period end-of-terrace (that was clearly once two cottages) in this amazingly historical location.
It’s really not that difficult to see how this period end-of-terrace was originally two cottages, and the address proves the fact! Situated in this incredible village that has such a rich history, dating from medieval times and still enjoying the tradition of the mummers every Boxing Day, the house includes three double bedrooms, a spacious lounge/diner, an equally roomy kitchen/breakfast, a downstairs office and shower room, and a large bathroom upstairs. The rear garden, extending to nearly 90ft, is a real feature, and beyond that is a large double garage.

LOCATION:
The village is steeped in history. From its origin in Saxon times (when it was known as Meresfelde, which related to being on a border rather than anything to do with marshes), through being a market town in the Middle Ages, to an important centre for the wool, and subsequently malting industries. Driving through the village evokes a picture of times gone by, with period buildings left and right, which is why it has been used as a backdrop for period film dramas. The nearby A420 allows access to both Chippenham and Bristol, and a stop outside the chapel next-door provides a bus ride into (or more likely back from) the centre of Bath. There’s even a “good” rated primary school in the village.
